What's in a name - Part II

Well, it looks as if we have to end the "Name the Store" competition.  We thank you all for submitting all the wonderful suggestions and we are happy to announce that WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Our daughter MaryKate came up with a logo to match the name we originally thought of and it's just to darned cute not to use.  We thinkUnder The Chaircaptures that "Je ne sais pas" feeling of a certain style and grace that really does justice to the beautiful furniture we will be offering at the new store.

April Love at AddicTreasures

We had a very interesting week and our excitement can't be contained!

First, Sunday we received our initial shipment of some very beautiful furniture pieces, including a French Country Sideboard, Buffet Table, Delys Sideboard, Wardrobe with Mirror Panes and a Mahogony 4 tier Bookcase with Leaded Glass Shelf Doors.  This is the debut of what will be "AddicTreasures Furniture Gallery" an expansion of our existing store in the Valley Courtyard.  We are expecting a container shipment in mid-April with all kinds of unique and unusual furniture that you won't find anywhere else in this area.

Spring Fling

Wow!  The Canadians are more fashion saavy than one would expect.

The Calgary Herald featured an article on the new season and what new fashiontrends mean, you guessed it — shopping. Online Store now available

It's late Sunday night and I'm proud to say that our online store made its debut tonight.  While still in the beginning stage with only a few products online, I successfully got all the "back room" set up complete and I actually bought something.

Friday afternoon I was thinking to myself, ahhh - finally a slow weekend. I thought maybe I could catch a nap or two, enjoy a nice Manhattan and relax.  Well, I'm here to tell you, my wife (Mrs. Boss) had other plans for me.  After outlining her goal for the weekend, we both embarked on this mini-crusade.

What I like about shopping

Like any other guy, I've never been one much for shopping, while my better half possesses that "shop till you drop" stamina, which is howAddicTreasurescame to be - but that's a story for another day.  When we began, I was the guy in the backroom, taking care of shipping, receiving, moving, storage and the multitude of those unseen chores that makes our store a success.

In the evolution of our young business thusfar, a change is occurring that I am happy to see.
